Forgotten Post = Pinterest Challenge Complete!

Earlier this month I decided I wanted to try to cross an item off of my 101 list. I was feeling crafty so,  I checked out my pinterest boards for some ideas, then headed to Micheal's. Later that day I made my project, took photos then totally forgot to post my accomplishment on my blog. Well now a few of my favorite blogs are hosting a Pinterest Challenge - The whole idea behind it is to stop just pinning and start doing. I have always wanted to participate but never had a blog and for some reason or another just never did. This is basically why I added number 25. Make 3 DIY projects that I pinned on Pinterest to my list. My project is super easy and didn't cost more than 10 bucks to make!

Here is my inspiration

And here is my version

Aren't they super cute?! I mean sure they have a few flaws, but they are my first official DIY project! Oh and I made them in honor of our old cat who ran away a few months ago. Deciding on which photos to use was probably the hardest part of this whole thing. Once I selected a few from my instagram I saved them on to a usb and had them printed at Walgreens. Thankfully they have 4x4 prints now so I didn't have to do any cutting. I got plain white tiles, which cost like 45 cents, from Lowes. Then I took a little mod podge to seal everything together.  We have been using them all month and so far so good! My only complaint are the streaks left by the mod podge.. but oh well!

  1. I love that you used your instagram photos! I think you still have time for the sealer.... but better later than never :)

  2. Such a great idea... totally gonna try this!

I'm sorry the kitty took off... maybe she/he will find their way back home. I'm always terrified when my cats go outside.
